Two Trains collide near Mathura – 15 to 17 people feared dead

Northern India (Mathura) 21st Oct: In north India near Mathura 15 to 17 people ware feared dead in the Goa Express rammed a stationary Mewar Express near Mathura on Wednesday morning. Mathura senior superintendent of police was asked 17 bodies and 23 injured had been pulled from the wreckage one of the trains that pictures showed had been badly mangled in the collision. After tow trains collide near by Railway authorities were using gas cutters to extricate trapped passengers from the damaged bogey. The injured have been rushed to various hospitals in Mathura, Agra, Aligarh and Kanpur. Northern Railway had cancelled the Agra Nizamuddin inter-city express and diverted a few other trains which included the Delhi-bound Rajdhani Express for Mumbai, Andhra Pradesh Express and Karnataka Express. They are being diverted via Tundla. Railway officials and Army personnel had reached the accident spot and rescue operation is going on. Some of the passengers from the two trains have also joined in the rescue operations. Two Trains collide near Mathura and 17 people feared dead of Wednesday morning.
